A new member of the family - Robin

I have many wreaths for the changing seasons that I display next to my front door. This summer "Welcome" one was used during the summer of 2007 to welcome guest and a family of robins. I was careful to not disturb the nest as it hung in the garage during the winter. To my surprise this week Ms. Robin returned. There are eggs she is tending so stay tuned for the little heads to start appearing.

Annie is always under foot so I gave her a "Project". Retrieving the materials I asked her to fetch sometimes is not ideal, but she seems to enjoy quilting as much as me. BUT...then there the times she hides in her camouflaged trunk.

Only a mother could love Henrietta

I maintain My web site along with this Blog space but with technical help from my good friend Hess. I mentioned to him this afternoon I would like to post "Henrietta". The look I received would have stopped a clock. I received nothing positive from him as I made my case for Henrietta. I Like my frog and wanted to share, so he lost. He grumbled a bit about wasting space and no one would share my feelings over something so fat and ugly but I reminded him he has lost his boyish figure and all his hair and "other 'stuff'".... so he grimaced and went about helping me with this post. Henrietta lives on my front stoop during the summer and in my screened-in porch during the cold months.

This Tiara is special and displayed because I wanted you to know I used Mary Lou Weidman's fabrics and design. If you haven't already, you need to check out her well maintained web site http://www.marylouquiltdesigns.com/ - Tell her I sent you.

Yes the punch bowl is solid ice, not a perfect circle but an eight-sided octagon with flowers frozen inside the bowl. The bowl sits on a base that contains the melting. In addition, the base is decorated to go with the theme of the ice bowl. For about five years I made dozens of bowls for all holidays and weddings events. A unique and differnet hit at the parties. If you try doing one, Please call me first.
